Objectives & Scope

The Mecomed Code of Ethical Business Practice regulates aspects of the medical devices industry’s relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organizations (HCOs).

Since January 1st, 2018, and the phasing out of the direct sponsorship, independent medical education has to be supported exclusively by means of Educational Grants. Such Educational Grants can be provided to Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) or Professional Congress Organizers (PCOs) including Medical Associations (MA).

WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO CERTIFY?

Online Form

Submit the online expression of interest form. You will receive application feedback within one month. If approved, an activation email will be sent to your organization.

Online Assessment

Complete the 10-question assessment after reviewing the materials. A minimum score of 80% is required. You may retake it up to 3 times.

Certification & Stamp

Your organization will be added to the Mecomed Certified Partners page and receive the official Mecomed Certified Partner stamp.

Educational Material

Log in to access and download the Mecomed Code and CVS educational materials.

Contract

After passing the assessment, sign and stamp the 2-year certification contract and upload it along with your organization’s logo.

Certification Renewal

Re-take the assessment after 2 years to renew your certification.
